I'm A Creative
My methodology centers on participatory visual methods and community-based research principles. I don’t extract stories, I collaborate with participants as co-creators, ensuring authentic, usually organic, representation and community ownership. Masculine-presenting women as knowledge producers rather than subjects.
The Lens Of My Camera
have always captured more than images for me. There is a constant and consistent revealing of truths that society often refuses to see. As a masculine-presenting woman, I've challenged the terrain of gender expression and the complexity of my personhood my entire life.. I’ve lived long enough to experience and witness firsthand how stories like mine, as well as reaffirming and positive narratives, remain absent from mainstream media, relegating this topic to stereotypes.
